Down By The Cotton Mill
So the Cotton Mill has got to be one of my favourite spots in my town. The city has put a lot of money into completely updating it and I love the pairing of older character with newer charm. And don’t even get me started on the beauty of the bricked archways that run the entire perimeter of the mill. Detail like that is hard to find! Currently there’s still retail space available & I’m crossing my fingers for a coffee shop to open up because exposed brick and caffeine just make my heart swoon.
Meanwhile, the weather still hasn’t made it’s mind up on whether it’s actually Spring or not. One day it’s 12 degrees Celsius (Around 54 Fahrenheit) and you start dreaming of sun dresses and the next, you wake up to a foot of snow. Sigh.
Can we talk about how fun these boots are though? I feel as though Aldo has been stepping up it’s game in terms of unique looking booties and shoes, and it’s especially nice when those same booties and shoes go on sale. I got these babies for around $50 and I couldn’t be happier. The suede is such a lush shade of maroon and the gold detail on the heel makes for a neat little surprise when the light hits it just right. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! xx
