going green
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I have a feeling khaki green is going to be big this Spring/Summer. Zara has an entire collection dedicated to natural tones and I’ve seen a ton of different takes on the utility trouser/culotte. I can see why. It’s a super easy colour to work with.
To me, there’s something about the various shades of khaki that evokes a safari-esque feel. It feels whimsical but also wild. Earthy. It can be militant as a jacket, or romantic as a belted midi. And with all the pops of bright reds, purples and pinks on my Instagram, I find myself welcoming the more subdued hues into my wardrobe.
I’m wearing a pair of embroidered khaki paperbag trousers from Zara (last season unfortunately), a lace camisole from a boutique, a cardigan from Hollister, mules from ASOS (last season), and a vintage belt.
