I’ve decided there’s no place better than being by water. There is something incredible soothing about it and I always feel at peace with myself when I am near it. For me, there is a lot of nostalgia laced into it as well. Most of my childhood was spent splashing around in a lake with my cousins at my family cottage. And now as an adult I’ve built a home a mere couple of streets over from a massive bay.

The night I wore this outfit, Kyle and I had gone out to dinner but weren’t quite ready to go home. So we went for a walk beside the water and it dawned on me how much the lifestyle of being by the water has been engrained into me. I’m a small town girl, and I want that authenticity to show through my blog posts. So instead of a white wall, going forward a lot more of my pictures will be taken in locations that are genuinely where I like to hang out, and where I spend my time. I hope you enjoy the change!

Moving onto the clothes, this top is perfect for sticky summer nights, and paired with white denim adds a bit of All-American (Canadian) girl charm. My bow slide espadrilles are also perfect for that easy slip-off-when-you-hit-the-sand-moment. Add in a beautiful sunset, and you’ve got yourself a perfect summer night!
