my bridesmaid boxes!!!
Well this is an exciting post! It’s something I’ve been holding onto for quite awhile, because I obviously couldn’t post this until I had asked my whole bridal party. And let me tell you — it’s HARD keeping a secret when you’re this excited to share!
And excited I am! When I thought about asking my friends to be my bridesmaids (and my sister to be my MOH) I would always get the biggest smile on my face — because I would envision me being surrounded by all my favourite girls and I knew we’d all have so much fun.
And these girls in particular mean a lot to me. Two are my oldest friends who have literally grown up alongside me. We got through high school together and if you can do that, you can do anything together. Three are girls who became my friends when I moved to a new city. They came into my world when my world had just been uprooted and I felt pretty lonely — and they made my new city feel like home. And the last is my sister, who has been my best friend since the very beginning.
So I really wanted to curate a box that I was proud to give them. Something pretty, that spoiled them a little and that was also practical. I knew I didn’t want to fill it just to fill it and have the trinkets never really be used.
Here’s what I included:

I started with the box, which I knew I wanted to be floral because our wedding will likely have a romantic garden party feel. You all know how much I love flowers so this was a given. At first I found some nice ones at Michaels, but they didn’t have enough and it was last season’s style so they weren’t getting any more in. Then I found some at Homesense but again, they didn’t have enough — so I ended up sending my mum on a wild goose chase to round up some more at different locations around her city. And like the amazing mother she is, she managed to find them all! Shoutout to you, momma!

Next I went to design my card. I looked around a lot but didn’t find anything I really loved. And I didn’t really know WHAT I wanted, except for the fact that I knew I didn’t want the cards to be floral because the boxes were. Then I noticed that the boxes had little accents of gold on them. So I thought going with gold foil was a nice way to tie them together. In the end, I ordered them from Zazzle but designed them myself. I love how they turned out with the simple gold brush stroke across the top!

After that I went looking for personalized robes because I knew that was something I definitely wanted in the box — something for all the girls to get ready in on the day of that will not only look super pretty but will hopefully make them feel special as well. Going to Etsy for that was the obvious choice and after looking around a little bit I ended up going with this robe as I loved the fact that I could personalize them with each of the girls’ initials and it seemed like the prettiest and perfect colour (shade Dusty Rose).

Next, I ordered these Kate Spade travel mugs because 1) they were gold AND floral 2) I love Kate Spade accessories and 3) I knew how often I used travel mugs so I figured they would be well used!
And finally, I headed to Bath & Body Works to pick out a nice smelling candle because I was really rolling with the theme of treating yo’ self. Between a satin robe, a pretty gold mug and lighting a yummy candle, they were all little things that make you feel happy. I ended up going with this one called Champagne Toast because it smelled AMAZING and because it was a precursor to all the champagne we will inevitably be toasting. đŸ™‚
Overall, I’m super happy with the boxes. They came together beautifully and I like I said, I love the fact that I could spoil my friends a little bit while also asking them to join me on one of the most important days of my life thus far.
ALSO, their reactions were super heartwarming and made me incredibly excited for what’s to come. My heart is so full!! Hope you guys enjoyed this post!!
