tonal dressing for fall

I love tonal dressing because it doesn’t take any extra work, it’s not hard to find two things in the same colour family and honestly I find it looks so put together/chic! It gives off that super sought after “put together but I didn’t try too hard” vibe. And while black on black has been popular since before I can remember, lately I’ve been really gravitating towards whites, creams, camels, browns, etc. It feels more upscale!

For this look my coat, sweater and shoes are all in the cream family. For an elevated version, you could wear white denim as well but I just didn’t have a pair that worked. Also bear in mind you can totally do this with colours that are non neutral as well! Pink and red are super beautiful together and if I had a berry peacoat I would for sure be pairing that with my berry coloured blouses. I just find it easier to stick to the neutral colours as not everyone has a raspberry coat but most people have a grey or tan one.

I’ve linked my exact sweater below (wearing a size Small, could’ve gone with an XS so runs a little big) and a few more options I love.
