transitioning your wardrobe for fall

If there’s one thing I love, it’s when the nights get a little cooler and the humidity drops, and the feeling of Fall starts to set in. Something about changing seasons gives me a renewed sense of excitement. I love pulling out my Fall decorations, and all my cozy knits. You get the opportunity to wear some of your favourites that you haven’t been able to all Summer!

Transitioning your wardrobe for Fall can sometimes be tricky however. What’s too summery, and what’s too heavy to wear still?

When the weather is still nice out, I’ll usually do one of two things. Either I’ll cover up on top and wear shorts, or I’ll wear a cami and wear jeans on the bottom. That way I’m not overheating or cold. When it cools off, then I tend to start layering more. But for now, the weather can go from really warm to really cool fast and so I like to play it safe and and pick one half to breathe and one half to cover.

Colours I love wearing as we transition to Fall include a lot of neutral and natural shades. Off-white, brown, tan, deep yellow, green. And as the leaves start changing, I’ll start wearing more reds, dusty pinks, berry shades. I guess I like to match my surroundings!

For shoes, I like to wear all my sandals and flats while I still can. As much as I love a good boot, I also want to take full advantage of the nice weather! There will be plenty of cool days ahead so if it’s warm enough to go without socks, that’s what I’m doing.

Below I’ve linked a bunch of my favourite lace camis!
