Hi guys! So as someone who is a member of LikeToKnow. It I get emails letting me know what sales are happening around the web. I thought it might be helpful for me to pick some of my favourites and put them all in one big …
As promised, here is my Holiday gift guide for him (with help from Kyle!) For guys, I generally like to buy things they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves. Usually that means something a little more fancy, because for example, Kyle lives in his Saxx underwear, but …
Well, it’s finally here! The holidays, and with that, my annual Gift Guide! Below I have linked many of my favourite things, whether that be a gift I’ve already received (and loved) or something that’s on my wishlist!
I’ve got things ranging from $10 to $150 — for the girl who loves to host, the girl who loves fashion, the girl who loves being eco friendly – really, there’s something for everyone here. What I also wanted to mention is that any of these smaller gifts can be paired with something else to take it to the next level. Love the serving tray? Maybe add a few gourmet cheeses and crackers to make it a bundle. Love the slippers? Maybe you buy a cute mug and add in your favourite tea to make it feel complete. I love picking something and making it a whole themed gift.
Coming up next: my gift guide for him (Kyle is gonna help me out!) Stay tuned!
Still got no idea? Check out my buying tips for the girl who has everything that I posted last year (a lot of them still apply)!
I’m not gonna lie. I know I am a hard person to buy for for Christmas. I’m really picky, and oftentimes when I do find something I like I’ll just buy it then and there because I know how picky I am. This list is essentially things that I think are cool/pretty/would make great gifts for girls who are hard to buy for, because I personally would also like to receive any of these (and, like I said, I’m picky).
Here’s my thought process for the list below, and how I usually go about thinking of ideas for someone who’s hard to buy for:
For starters, I always like to spoil someone on Christmas so I try to think of gifts that the recipient might not always treat themselves to. For example, I’ve linked 2 high quality throw blankets and 2 cashmere scarves below. Not something someone would always want to spend a ton of money on for themselves, but would probably also love wrapping themselves up in. Another way to think about it is pampering. Most people like to pamper themselves but don’t always go out of their way to start, so skincare gift sets make great gifts! I love that they usually include a few mini versions of the product so your recipient can test them all out and see what they like. That way you aren’t going out on a limb hoping the product works for them and spending a ton of money while doing it.
I also like getting gifts that double as decor. Cookbooks, coffee table books, cutting boards. All these are linked below because not only are they practical, they’re also pretty and serve two purposes.
Another thing I like to think of is personalization. I’ve linked a couple of necklaces and other pieces that can be personalized to the recipient. That always make it more special in my opinion. Anything that can be engraved or monogrammed instantly feels a little more unique and thought out.
Finally, does she like to host? This gives you so many places to jump off of. Wine glasses, champagne flutes, serving boards, pretty canisters. All these things many girls would love to have nice versions of to pull out when guests arrive, but not all girls have their crystal cupboards fully stocked. Also it’s pretty easy to double check what she already has by getting in touch with her SO or BF. Chances are there’s something on the list she wants, or wants to upgrade!
*As a bonus list, have you checked out my affordable necklace roundup here? When in doubt go dainty and simple — I don’t know a single girl who would complain about getting jewelry for Christmas!
December is here! Which means entertaining season is also upon us. Personally, it’s one of my favourite parts of the holidays. Not only is it a great time to get together with friends and family you don’t normally see, it gives you an excuse to …
